Volunteer
WGDR volunteers keep us going! They are active in a myriad of ways at the station, both on and off of the air. Each volunteer contributes a unique talent and spirit. Whether you’re interested in music, public affairs, or working behind the scenes, you are welcome at WGDR.
Let us know what your skills and interests are, and we’ll definitely find something for you to do. In addition to assisting during WGDR’s Spring and Fall Pledge Drives, there are many other opportunities; from helping to organize the music library, to promoting and assisting at special events. Fundraising efforts are critical for WGDR's continued day to day operation. Your participation in WGDR's mission is an excellent way to support community radio in Central Vermont.
Volunteer opportunities during WGDR Pledge Drives
We currently need volunteers to assist in preparation for and during our Fall and Spring Pledge Drives. Typical pledge drive tasks are:
- greet guests to the Station
- be an audience member for one of our live music programs
- provide data entry assistance
- answer phones during Pledge Drive
- decorate the Station
- prepare mailings
- be part of community radio!
Ongoing Volunteer opportunities:
- provide vocals for promos
- organize the music library
- provide custodial help
- special projects
