Community Radio in Vermont is everywhere!

WGDR & WGDH are part of a small and growing network of community radio stations here in the state. Most of these stations are part of the Vermont Association of Broadcasters.

•                WBTV-LP, Burlington, 99.3 FM (since 2017)

•                WFVR-LP, South Royalton, 96.5 FM (since 2014)

•                WGDR, Plainfield, 91.1 FM & WGDH, Hardwick, 91.7 FM (Central Vermont Community Radio) (since 1973, and 2021 under community ownership).

•                WMRW-LP, Warren, 94.5 FM (since 2014)

•                WOOL-FM, Bellows Falls, 91.5 FM (since 2002)

•                WVEW-LP, Brattleboro 107.7 FM (since 2002)

•               And three more new LPFMs currently in station building phase in 2026: WVVT-LP, Bristol, WLUD-LP, Ludlow, and WRUJ-KP, Richmond.

LPFM stands for low-power FM stations, which broadcast around 100 watts (hyper local). Full power stations, like WGDR/WGDH and WOOL, are full power stations, broadcasting at around 1,000 watts (much further physical reach).
