Basic Operator Training is usually completed within 6-10 weeks, depending on the individual and their unique circumstances. Once licensed and approved by WGDR staff, participants can begin programming live on their own timeslot or serve as a substitute when openings occur. In addition to earning privileges, the commitments of a WGDR volunteer broadcaster also include participation in our collective governance and adherence to policies and procedures. We are committed to education and training in the art and science of community radio. This station seeks to serve our communities with high quality, independent, non-commercial radio.
