The Trumpet Vine

My Sunday morning show is named after a song written by Kate Wolf, "The Trumpet Vine." "Now it seems the truest words I ever heard from you were said at the kitchen tables we have known, Cause' somehow in that warm room, with coffee on the stove, our hearts were really most at home." I feel really lucky as a programmer at WGDR to have the Sunday morning time slot - it's quiet, the sun is rising over the mountains, and with folk, blues, celtic, swing and bluegrass music playing, it just seems to be the best way to start a Sunday morning here in Vermont.

I am just another laid back person living here in the beautiful state of Vermont (and I came here for the same reasons you did!). I live with my family near Spruce Mountain and if I am not kicking a soccer ball around or looking for fresh tracks alone the fall line, you'll fine me with my Newcombs Guide in my backpocket and a butterfly net in my hand. I love New England with folk music playing in the background!
