Spring Pledge Drive 2012

On May 11, 2012, WGDR-H received the final totals for the spring pledge drive. The total exceeded our goal by $1,507.00- for a grand total of:

$16,507.00

Thank you to all of the listeners who called in, came into the station, and went online to make pledges! Also thanks to all the local businesses to donated so generously to this pledge drive.

When we closed shop last night at midnight (May 1, 2012) we were over $15,500. The lobby was full of programmers and listeners, and I was reminded just how rich Goddard is to have WGDR/H as a venue for community connection.Thanks to all of you who made our Spring Pledge Drive a success. We will be posting a long list of contributing partners to our site this week, but the programmers won’t be listed there, nor the staff, and though it may seem out of place to thank those that are doing what they might be contracted to do, it goes without saying that many of our volunteers and staff members go above and beyond their obligatory requirements to make sure that every drive (as it is an outreach to our local community) is as well supported– and as robust with character– as possible.

As the following weeks continue to bring in more gifts, I’m hoping our final numbers will find us above $16,000, maybe more.

I’m already nostalgic for the memories of working so closely with many of you this past week. Thanks for a good time, and keeping us on the air.

WGDR/WGDH’s spring pledge drive is now in full swing (4/23 – 4/30). Over the past day and a half, we’ve raised just around $3,500, and have a long way to go before reaching and surpassing our goal of $15,000 by next Monday.
