Woman-Stirred Radio is a weekly queer cultural journal that broadcasts live every Thursday afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. (eastern). Producer and host Merry Gangemi schedules two interviews per show and features GLBTQ writers, artists, musicians, academics, and policymakers from all around the country and around the globe. Through in-depth interviews, WSR seeks to present and disseminate the finest in GLBTQ arts and letters with special focus on the artistic production of women and with attention to issues of race and class. My Radio program consists of an ever changing eclectic mix of music in many different genres including, but not limited to: Industrial, Electronica, Dubstep, HipHop, Reggae, Jazz, Classical, World, Folk, and Rock music. Each week along side some of these genres my radio program also has a main focus of sharing the sounds of Heavy Metal music, including Black, Death, Fantasy, Classic, Thrash, Melodic Death, Grind-Core, Symphonic, Folk, Viking, and Technical forms of metal music. I also often include stories about and experiences from metal festivals that I have attended over the last 12 years across Europe. My show also promotes some of these festivals as well as local concerts and events.
