Moccasin Tracks explores the efforts, thoughts and wisdom of the Indigenous Peoples of Vermont- and beyond- and also grassroots activism, including non-violent civil-resistance. The show questions cooperation or resistance to the broken “white-priviledged” systems in place today that are desecrating all that is precious to Life-Affirming Human Beings that are living in peace and harmony with Mother Earth.
Join us during the second part of the show (3PM) for rebroadcasting of First Voices Indigenous Radio. (A production from Pacifica, a WBAI broadcast with radio producer and host, Tiokasin Ghosthorse) National Native News, a production of Native Voice One, (www.nv1.org) will also be broadcast at the beginning of the show. Many of the interviews previously broadcast are posted below for educational purposes and your listening enjoyment.

Recognizing our Abenaki Nation this year(2012) by the state of Vermont has made the presence of our First Nation Peoples visible but racism is still present in our seemingly benevolent Vermont, as one can witness with capitalistic use of indigenous symbolism for profit seen in Vermont newspapers of late. And the ecocide on Mother Earth (nuclear power, tar sands pipeline..etc) happens around us… here is an interview with Carol Irons, Abenaki from Albany, Vermont about Industrial Wind in Vermont
and the impact seen already which is so contrary to Indigenous Perspectives.
