The show seeks to explore and broaden the perspective and understanding of human experience with an ever widening open heart and mind toward the unknown, while questioning the prevailing assumptions and beliefs, especially our own, that can get in the way of a wide-eyed exploration of the infinite possibilities that surround us, inside and out.
Genuinely seeking to bridge the schisms and grand chasms that seem to appear between disparate and largely unquestioned positions, beliefs, ideologies and assumptions of all kinds. Especially, considering that we all co-exist and co-create our evolving world together, moment by moment, whether we are aware of it or not.
With a passionate curiosity and love for science and nature, and many years of intensive
meditation practice our host, in the words of Buckminster Fuller, “dares to be naïve”,
while continually questioning the prevailing authorities, especially himself. With a
natural affinity for the mystical and magical he seeks to bring these elements down to
earth, and optimistically to find a way to allow and integrate them into an ever expanding
consensus of accepted reality, freely treading where angels fear to go.

I found myself agreeing with everything you wrote. Radio is a challenging medium to share meaning with people with whom we are primarily communicating through words. Perhaps, we can experiment with closing our eyes and allowing our minds to connect with our hearts and bodies and speak and listen from a deeper and more whole place of connection within ourselves, as we share meaning with each other. And imagine that the 95-99% of communication that is non-verbal is somehow being transmitted to each other, through some “magical and mysterious” medium. To paraphrase Rumi, “out there beyond notions of right and wrong, there is a field. Let’s all meet there.”
In the meantime, I continue to offer this forum within which each person can share their ideas, concerns, and questions with each other, which I often find stimulates a creative evolution of our ideas, notions and feeling responses as we bounce off, and/or dance with each other and our ideas and responses. Fortunately, there is plenty of time after the shows to reflect upon our words and the words of each other, and to integrate upon that.

….I want to encourage us to be very mindful about referring to others as “those people” or distinguishing others as asleep…..indeed these are projections as well….
In this way we might need to emphasize what the Hawaiian healing traditions referred to as Ho’oponopono — entering the experience of others through our own “knowing” which, it is said to exist inside each of us….
….each of us goes through the necessary “heroes” journey and always have, ….today we have little shared language for “teaching” each other –through myth, story, ritual….that we share a common journey. We are barely emerging from a cultural belief that “suffering” is personal, and worse, pathological. In our profession as psychotherapists
We must understand that the pain we witness in others is the fundamental, learned resistance to the fact of vulnerability….
…..how wonderful that we can listen to a radio show to hear the beginnings of a sane and reverent approach to addressing our current phase of unfurling from the cocoon ….
…there are many options for doing this work….reducing the amount of distraction….making time to create an internal quiet….we can do this without a therapist…
RAIN. (from Tara brach) Recognize, Acknowledge, Inquiry or Investigate, non-identification….we are attempting to dis identify with the “meaning” we are making of the phenomenon…..”don’t believe everything you think”
When we say it takes a lot of time….and work….I find myself thinking “I wonder if we can offer true intimate invitation to collective intimacy….maybe it’s not such hard work
If its not pathology, (an immediate response to fight back is part of our physiology–fight,freeze, or flight)…..but if we act them out….we will continue to create suffering….
…we see it happening especially in the “progressive” community….when we get so identified with our point of view…..And moral “rightness”…..us and them….very tricky…we must discern not only judge…..as a teacher says, “critique without vision serves tryanny”
….an observation–as Ive been listening to the program….. Limitation of language…and need to communicate more and more through energy between words……directly related to the hearts source that we all are truly in….function of most language, English that is, is that we get caught in this or that…..as Rumi says (through poetry of course because the world of metaphor is where we bridge these seemingly irreconcilable reconcilables) ….”beyond all notions of wrong doing and right doing—there is a field, I’ll take you there…..” ……
…..we are creating a crystaline form that builds on everyone’s intelligent perspective…we will continue to see our way through to creating a form of engagement
That will give us some relief from having to be “right”…..
